Tyler Glidden’s main purpose as the South Dakota State Men’s Basketball Director of Operations is to elevate his student-athletes’ experience. Glidden intentionally creates spaces for his student-athletes to build meaningful relationships crafted from a foundation of genuine interest in learning more about each other.

The more time that you spend together off the floor, in different environments with each other, the more you will actually learn about each other. Glidden says he tries to handle anything that may make the student-athlete experience the best it can be at South Dakota State. “A typical day for me usually involves making sure our team and staff are organized, planning upcoming travel, organizing team meals, community events.”

For daily operations, Glidden called Teamwork Hub “vital” to perform his job as Director of Operations.

A Digital Connection: Teamworks Hub

Glidden takes on the tall task of organizing the chaos of a typical collegiate basketball season. One of the more chaotic moments in the collegiate season is when teams find out on Selection Sunday where they are seated in the NCAA Tournament. When South Dakota State learned of their 15th seed bid, Glidden jumped on scheduling travel arrangements to Ohama, Nebraska, to play Iowa State.

While travel arrangements can be hectic during the regular season and tournament season, Glidden relies on his Hub Calendar and his favorite feature of Hub: Travel.

“It’s saved me countless hours and allowed me to be more efficient, more organized as we travel on the road,” Glidden said. “I truly would not be as efficient in my role without Teamworks.”
