DURHAM, NC – [Thursday, February 28, 2019] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with the William & Mary Department of Athletics. W&M will leverage Teamworks to streamline logistics and enhance communications.
“There’s a reason why Teamworks is the trusted partner of so many universities to deepen student-athlete engagement,” said William & Mary Director of Athletics, Samantha K. Huge. “Innovation is a core value of our athletic department and we strive to find the best technology to aid in our pursuit of excellence. Teamworks is a powerful partner as we develop our student-athletes into leaders in competition, in the classroom and in the community.”
In addition to Teamworks core offerings, W&M will leverage Teamworks Academics, a new tool aimed at supporting every student-athlete to achieve more in the classroom and beyond. Launching in Summer 2019, the module will provide academic advisors a more individualized way to organize, monitor and motivate student-athletes to improve their academic performance.
“Teamworks Academics will impact every single one of the more than 500 student-athletes who compete at William & Mary,” said Huge. “We’re committed to providing our student-athletes with the tools for success and with Teamworks Academics, our academic support team will be able to operate more efficiently to provide a more dedicated and individualized experience.”
Teamworks will facilitate communications and collaboration for the Tribe’s 23 sports and across the athletic department, with streamlined scheduling, file sharing, messaging and travel on a single platform.
“We’re excited to partner with William & Mary to drive both athletic and academic success throughout the department,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks. “Our missions and core values are closely aligned, and we look forward to working with them to strengthen engagement.”
