Toronto FC, Raptors, Argonauts and Maple Leafs all leverage Teamworks to enhance their communication and centralize operations on one platform.
DURHAM, NC – [Tuesday, May 11, 2020] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for professional and collegiate organizations, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Toronto Argonauts, member of the Canadian Football League, and a renewed partnership with Toronto FC, which is expanding to include the Major League Soccer (MLS) club’s academy system. Both franchises utilize Teamworks as the unified platform for communication and logistics across their organizations.
“Connection and communication are important in any successful organization and absolutely imperative in professional sports,” said Michael “Pinball” Clemons, General Manager of the Toronto Argonauts. “The simplicity and versatility of the Teamworks’ platform will empower us to engage players, coaches and staff individually and collectively, efficiently and effectively, clearly and concisely. Integrating Teamworks into our organization helps ensure everyone is kept up-to-date at all times and allows them to focus on their daily responsibilities, improving on-field performance.”
The Toronto Argonauts are Teamworks’ second partner in the Canadian Football League and join a growing list of professional football organizations that leverage the platform. With the addition of the Argonauts, every team within Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment partners with Teamworks. Toronto FC expanded its usage and by implementing Teamworks across its academy system, adding five teams onto the platform, allows for more effective and efficient outreach to all players and staff within their respective teams.
“We are always looking for ways to innovate and implement efficiencies when it comes to the operations of our teams and departments, and Teamworks allows us to do that on multiple levels,” said Ali Curtis, General Manager for Toronto FC. “With our Academy now using the platform, we are excited to increase the level of integration that we will be able to achieve club-wide across our teams and internal departments. Teamworks provides one centralized place to house all Academy information for athletes and their families to refer to at any time and allows us to better streamline our overall operations between the First Team, USL Team and Academy teams.”
Toronto FC’s addition of its academy teams aligns with Teamworks’ expanding presence in the youth infrastructure for professional soccer. Teamworks works with multiple clubs in MLS and the English Premier League (EPL) that leverage the platform from the first team through the academy system.
“We’re excited to strengthen our presence in Canada and professional sports overall by signing the Argonauts and expanding our relationship with Toronto FC,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks. “We’re proud of the impact we’ve had on the teams under Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment that helped foster these new relationships.
