Teamworks Academy Launches Careers for Former Athletes

Five recently-graduated student-athletes selected for 2019 Teamworks Academy class

DURHAM, NC – [Tuesday, May 21, 2019] –Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for professional and collegiate organizations, is pleased to announce the 2019 Teamworks Academy class.  Comprised of five recently-graduated student-athletes, the latest Teamworks Academy cohort will gain foundational business skills while serving Teamworks customers.

Launched in Summer 2018, Teamworks Academy is designed to help former athletes transition from athletic careers to the business world.  The program combines foundational personal and professional development skills with hands-on work across the company. Academy members receive training in customer service; written and verbal communication; presentations; analytical and critical thinking; active listening; problem-solving and business acumen.
