Teamworks will power professional rugby team’s global travel and communication

The #1 Athlete Engagement Platform

DURHAM, NC – [Tuesday, June 11, 2019] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for professional and collegiate organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with the Sunwolves, a member of the Japan Rugby Football Union.  The Sunwolves will leverage Teamworks to build team culture through seamless communication and streamlined operations.

“Teamworks is a must-have for our team to be at its best,” said James Kumate, Sunwolves team manager.  “As we strive to perform at the highest level, we recognized the need to innovate our communication.  With Teamworks, every member of the team will be engaged to build our winning culture on and off the pitch.”

As Japan’s representative team in SANZAAR’s international Super Rugby competition, the Sunwolves travel globally throughout the season.  Teamworks will simplify travel for the team by providing a platform for all travel arrangements to be created, shared and updated, accessible from any device.

“With our schedule taking us to a different continent each week, we needed something to simplify travel and ensure all the moving parts stay in sync,” said Kumate.  “Teamworks makes travel seamless for our players, coaches and staff.  They are at ease knowing there is a platform they can rely on for all the information they need.”

The Sunwolves join more than 2,500 teams around the world that engage their athletes with Teamworks.  Multiple English Premier League teams, the New Zealand All Blacks and Rugby Australia are powered by Teamworks, in addition to North American collegiate and professional teams and leagues.

“We’re excited to welcome the Sunwolves to the Teamworks family,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks.  “Great teams recognize the need for innovation to perform at the highest level.  We look forward to partnering with the Sunwolves to deepen engagement throughout the team.”
