Sporting Kansas City Adopts Teamworks to Streamline Internal Communication and Operations
Leading Athletic Communication Software Provides Competitive Edge in Connecting Players, Coaches and Staff

DURHAM, NC [March 21, 2018]— Teamworks, the industry leader of mobile collaboration and communication software for athletic organizations, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sporting Kansas City, a Major League Soccer (MLS) team. Teamworks will streamline communication for coaches, athletic trainers, advisors and administrators while centralizing player and staff information. Sporting Kansas City, one of the ten charter MLS members, is the first MLS team to capitalize on Teamworks’ mobile technologies.

“Teamworks ensures there are no logistical headaches amongst coaching staff, athletes, trainers and more,” said Jake Reid, Sporting Kansas City President. “We are excited to be the first team in MLS to adopt Teamworks and bring a mobile software to our players and staff to provide them information on their preferred method of communication, their mobile device. As a forward-thinking club, we are enthusiastic to implement the software in our club so our players have more time to focus exclusively on the game.”

Delivering Sporting Kansas City many timesaving management solutions, Teamworks’ platform modernizes previously paper-driven processes and centralizes information sharing. Teamworks’ messaging will revamp communication methods, ease file sharing processes, eliminate inefficiencies and allow for more seamless collaboration, resulting in significant time and hard cost savings for front office, staff, coaches and players. The platform is effectively tailored to each new client’s operations and workflows, evident as Teamworks continues to implement its offerings across several professional sports.

“We are pleased to welcome Sporting Kansas City as the first Major League Soccer franchise to join the Teamworks family,” said Zach Maurides, founder and CEO of Teamworks. “It’s important for teams to leverage technology to connect their players and staff, and Teamworks is quickly becoming the standard for professional sports organizations to run their teams, keeping all parties informed and operating efficiently.”

Teamworks has quickly become the industry standard for athletic operations in professional sports, adding 20 franchises across the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB in the last year alone. Teamworks also serves the United Soccer League, Minor League Baseball, and the MLS league office, as well as national governing bodies including USA Baseball, USA Track and Field, and USA Cycling.  In collegiate athletics, Teamworks streamlines information for over 1,500 NCAA Division I teams.  Other major partners include the NCAA, which has enhanced the March Madness tournament experience for staff, participating teams, officials and game-site representatives through Teamworks. Additional athletic-related businesses and governing bodies applying the software include the Big Ten Officiating, the Atlantic Coast Conference, and adidas Team Sales.
