Princeton Partners with Teamworks to Transform and Enhance the Distribution of Information to Student-Athletes in Critical Times
Princeton uses Teamworks to centralize information-sharing and eliminate repetitive workflows, saving valuable time for athletics staff and student-athletes.
DURHAM, NC – [Thursday, May 21, 2020] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with the Princeton University athletic department. The Tigers leverage Teamworks to streamline and simplify operations to build efficiencies of scale throughout the department, especially during times of uncertainty.
“Princeton student-athletes have as many demands placed on their time as any college student in the country,” said Mollie Marcoux Samaan, Director of Athletics at Princeton. “With the efficiencies in scheduling and team communication, Teamworks should give back time to our student-athletes. The opportunity to become much more efficient with our collective time is something that will have a ripple effect across Princeton Athletics. As a department, we are now able to eliminate redundant calendars, schedules, and emails, texts, and calls by making Teamworks the one tool for all of those actions.”
Princeton Athletics is one of the largest athletic departments in Division I collegiate athletics, supporting 37 teams and more than 1,000 student-athletes. The Tigers rely on Teamworks to improve scheduling, communicating, collecting contact information and distributing documents.
“Beyond the daily benefits, Teamworks has been a tremendous tool to us in managing the constantly evolving circumstances surrounding COVID-19, with information changing moment to moment,” said Marcoux. “Teamworks allows immediate and real-time access to our student-athletes, coaches and staff so that we could communicate updates from the university, the conference office, the NCAA and even the surrounding community within minutes of the news breaking.”
Princeton’s 37 teams are among more than 2,000 Division I programs that rely of Teamworks to effectively engage their student-athletes through centralized communication and collaboration.
“We’re proud to welcome the Princeton athletic department to the Teamworks family and already be able to assist the athletics staff in an impactful way during the coronavirus outbreak,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks. “Reliable communication and keeping staff and student-athletes in sync is critical during times of uncertainty. With student-athletes being remote for an indeterminate amount of time, we take great pride in being a dependable solution for Princeton to connect and engage their student-athletes.”
