Ohio University Signs with Teamworks to Coordinate Logistics Across 13 Varsity Teams
Bobcats place emphasis on streamlining student-athlete and staff scheduling in a virtual environment.
DURHAM, NC – [Thursday, October 8, 2020] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with Ohio University. At the start of the pandemic, Ohio’s athletic department assumed fully remote operations, and Bobcats athletics staff recognized centralized communication and scheduling through Teamworks as paramount in keeping student-athletes and coaches consistently and uniformly engaged.
“Particularly during a time where many of us are working virtually, we want to be efficient with our student-athletes’ time,” said Julie Cromer, Director of Athletics for Ohio University.
“Teamworks allows us flexibility in coordinating schedules with the ability to adjust and disburse information in real time. With Teamworks, we have one, centralized platform to easily communicate across 13 different teams and keep everyone from senior leadership and coaches to student-athletes and operations staff engaged and in sync with the rest of the department.”
Ohio becomes the fourth Teamworks department-wide client in the Mid-American Conference, adding to more than 2,000 NCAA Division I teams that partner with Teamworks.
“Centralizing communication to increase student-athlete engagement has been critical as teams and departments went remote amid the pandemic and transition to return to play,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks.
“We are proud to provide the coaches and staff at Ohio University with a unified platform that allows them to communicate and schedule efficiently across each sport so that Bobcat student-athletes look to the Teamworks mobile app as their source for accurate and detailed information.”
