Mountain West Partners with Teamworks to Improve Operational Effectiveness and Create Greater Engagement through State-of-the-Art Technology
Teamworks will enhance league’s communication and collaboration throughout MW membership
DURHAM, NC – [Thursday, June 21, 2018] – Teamworks, the industry leader in athlete engagement software for athletic organizations, is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with the Mountain West – an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision conference recognized for its commitment to innovation and dynamic solutions. With Teamworks, the league will facilitate smooth communication among staff, member institutions, coaches and student-athletes, while streamlining logistics for its 16 championships and other events throughout the year.
“Following our successful initial engagement with Teamworks in support of the Mountain West Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships the last three years, we knew Teamworks could deliver proven solutions to more deeply engage administrators, coaches and student-athletes throughout our conference,” said Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson. “More than 5,000 student-athletes compete in the Mountain West, and it is our job to provide the best possible experience to each of them as they strive to reach their goals academically, athletically and socially. Teamworks’ progressive technology enables us to achieve this by better connecting all of the moving parts in our office and within our membership, throughout the regular season and at championship events.”
Building upon the success of using Teamworks at conference championships, the Mountain West will leverage the platform to centralize operations for its Board of Directors, Joint Council and other governance groups, in addition to securely sharing documents and resources with leadership throughout the league.
“We’re committed to finding innovative ways to best serve our institutions and are proud to align with companies that share our vision,” said Thompson. “We’ve seen first-hand the staff and financial efficiencies created by using Teamworks. The platform will be integral as we continue to embrace technology to provide the best student-athlete experience and advance league initiatives.”
The Mountain West joins the Atlantic Coast Conference as NCAA Division I conferences utilizing Teamworks to power all of their major championships and marquee events. Five NCAA Championships, the College Football Playoff, eight national governing bodies, the Big Ten, Pac-12 and Southland Conferences also leverage the platform throughout the year.
“We’re pleased to expand our partnership with the Mountain West to serve the entire organization,” said Zach Maurides, CEO of Teamworks. “Division I conferences oversee countless moving parts every day. Teamworks alleviates some of that pressure so that instead of spending their time chasing information, filling out paperwork or coordinating schedules, administrators can focus on membership and, ultimately, the student-athlete.”
