The Forty Under 40 Awards is an annual celebration of the best young talent in sports business. The recognition comes on the heels of an outstanding year for Teamworks, in which the company continued its global growth, adding professional and collegiate teams and leagues from four continents. Overall, more than 3,000 teams leverage the platform to engage their athletes. In addition, Teamworks joined forces with INFLCR, the premium social media content delivery platform in sports; gained recognition as a Triangle Business Journal’s Best Places to Work for the second year in a row; and expanded Teamworks Academy to launch former athletes’ careers. “It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized among such an inspiring and innovative group,” said Maurides. “This is truly a tribute to the more than 100 people at Teamworks who are committed to serving athletes, and all of our partners who give us guidance, feedback and inspiration as we continue to grow.” In 2004, as a student-athlete at Duke University, Maurides recognized a gap in the athletic industry. During his sophomore year of college, he answered the industry’s need by creating Teamworks, the first communication and organizational platform to ever be tailored to athletics. Maurides graduated from Duke with a degree in sociology and has since grown Teamworks to be a must-have technology to help athletes to reach their full potential in all areas of life. Honorees will be featured in the March 16 issue of the Sports Business Journal and recognized at the annual Forty Under 40 gala on March 26, at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California.
