From Southern Miss Athletics:
Southern Miss Athletics and INFLCR, which have enjoyed a two-year partnership to help empower Golden Eagle student-athletes in building their personal brands, announced an expanded partnership Friday to include INFLCR Verified, the content delivery and compliance platform to assist in the management and monitoring of student-athlete Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) activities.
“I am excited to build on our long-standing relationship with INFLCR,” said Southern Miss Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain. “Jim Cavale and his team continue to be an industry leader in personal brand management and education for our student-athletes. INFLCR Verified is the next step in maximizing the potential of our student-athletes, and we look forward to providing tools to help them navigate new NIL guidelines.”
INFLCR’s Verified suite of products ensures student-athletes are provided the tools, content, financial literacy, and more to participate in upcoming opportunities from NIL legislation.
Powered by flagship new products within the Compliance Exchange such as the administrator dashboard and Storyteller Playbook video library, INFLCR Verified enhances the student-athlete experience by offering a comprehensive solution for responsible brand-building on social media, as well as a fully compliant path to external commercial activity from NIL.
Southern Miss adopts this approach to educate and prepare staff and student-athletes for new opportunities and complexities from upcoming NIL legislation, aiming to ultimately provide best-case scenarios for student-athletes who will soon look to participate in monetization activities from their NIL.
“Jeremy McClain was one of the first athletic directors to believe in what we have been building at INFLCR and saw the power early on in equipping student-athletes with the content to become their own storytellers,” said INFLCR Founder and CEO Jim Cavale. “Both he and I knew that the brand of the student-athlete would only grow, and we needed to empower them with the best technology to make the most of their college athletics experience. I look at him as one of our founding ADs, and I could not be more excited to see how we build upon our partnership in the NIL era with him at the helm for Southern Miss.”
The extended partnership began July 1, when the NIL legislation went into effect.
