ST. PAUL, MN – [Thursday, February 17, 2022] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, is pleased to announce an expansive partnership with Macalester College Athletics in which the department will leverage the app to establish a centralized source for all varsity athletics-related communication and information. The Scots are Teamworks’ first partner from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) of NCAA Division III.
“As a department, we’re continuously striving to get better in every facet of our work,” Macalester Director of Athletics Donnie Brooks said. “We know that Teamworks can give us a slight edge at enhancing the overall student-athlete experience. I’m excited to be only the second Division III department in the country to provide the unique services of Teamworks for our athletic programs, coaches, and student-athletes.”
Through the Teamworks mobile app, Macalester seamlessly relays class and practice schedules, digitizes team travel itineraries, fosters streamlined communications, and more for 450 student-athletes across 21 varsity sports.
“For many DIII institutions, the athletics staff is serving a large number of student-athletes across a broad spectrum of varsity sports, and having a centralized technology system is critical to the flow of information and keeping everyone in sync,” said Teamworks Founder and CEO Zachary Maurides. “We are thrilled to welcome Macalester College to the Teamworks family and provide the Scots with the resources to establish clear and consistent communication for every student-athlete, coach, and athletics staff member.”
