INFLCR is excited to welcome the University of Iowa to the team with an athletic department-wide partnership!
Student-athletes, coaches and staff will gain access to photos, videos and graphics created by Iowa Athletics and delivered through the INFLCR software and mobile app, to share on their personal social-media channels, for all 24 of the Hawkeyes’ NCAA varsity sports teams.
“The Iowa Hawkeye brand has a powerful connection and story that we Win. Graduate, and Do it Right to Fight for Iowa. The INFLCR platform provides our student-athletes the ability to develop deeper relationships through their personal Hawkeye stories,” said Charlie Taylor, associate athletics director of strategic communications and marketing.
“As we work to prepare our student-athletes for the next chapter in their lives, building a positive personal brand while at Iowa is key to their future success. We are excited to tell the next chapter of the Hawkeye story while growing both the student-athlete and Iowa brands together through the INFLCR platform.”
Iowa is INFLCR’s newest Big Ten partner as the company now serves more than 80 clients including representatives from every NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision conference.
The Hawkeyes have jumped right in with impact. For example, 107 Iowa football players were active in the INFLCR app to download and share to their personal social-media channels a total of 312 content items from the Hawkeyes’ 38-14 season-opening victory over Miami, Ohio.
On Instagram, public posts by the players reached an additional 81,000 unique viewers and received more than 24,000 likes. Those posts achieved engagement rates of more than 26 percent, significantly higher than the industry average of about 6 percent.
“To bring on a forward-thinking program like Iowa, and to help tell its story as it competes at the highest level for Big Ten and national championships is very exciting for our company,” said INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale.
“Iowa understands that the best storytellers for the Hawkeyes are the student-athletes who are working so hard to for their big moments on the field and court, and INFLCR is proud to help them tell the stories of their biggest moments when they happen.”
How It Works
INFLCR’s platform helps clients like Iowa send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.
Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.
After the fact, Iowa is able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.
Lowa plans to use this approach to bolster their online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other strategic goals.
