Leinster Rugby Relies on Teamworks to Level Up Team Communication and Productivity
Teamworks provides the professional rugby organization with a one-stop-shop for scheduling and internal communications.
DURHAM, NC – [Wednesday, July 28, 2021] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for professional organizations, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Leinster Rugby, one of the four professional provincial rugby union teams from Ireland and the most successful Irish team domestically. Leinster, which competes in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup, will shift away from working with multi-platform apps by connecting the organization’s stakeholders through the centralized communication and scheduling features of Teamworks.
“At the start of Covid-19, the cessation of our domestic and European seasons allowed us time to look at how we operate and assess how we could ‘level up’ in terms of productivity and cost-efficiency,” said Leinster Head Coach Leo Cullen. “After numerous Zoom calls with people in the sports industry, it was clear there was no competitor to Teamworks in elevating a team’s operations and communication. The calibre of teams that were already using Teamworks, the positive recommendations, and the product capabilities made it a no-brainer for us.”
Leinster Rugby is among over 150 professional teams around the world that engage their players with Teamworks. Multiple English Premier League clubs, Premiership Rugby’s Bristol Bears, the New Zealand All Blacks, and Major League Rugby are powered by Teamworks, in addition to teams throughout North America’s major professional leagues including the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS.
“The streamlining of our scheduling and internal communications through Teamworks will revolutionise how we operate and allow us to continue to stay at the forefront of our sport,” said Leinster Operations Manager Ronan O’Donnell. “The ability to move away from multi-platform apps is huge, giving us a one-stop-shop for our calendar and messaging efforts. In addition, Teamworks allows the coaches to be able to provide large, high quality footage to the players to review on the go, which uses the players’ and staffs’ time in a more targeted and efficient manner. This will have a major positive impact both on and off the field.”
“We are excited to partner with one of the most storied professional franchises in all of Ireland by bringing the Teamworks platform to Leinster Rugby,” said Teamworks President of International Mitch Heath. “With Teamworks, Leinster can consolidate its digital resources and effectively drive all communication and scheduling information through the Teamworks app. By streamlining the flow of information, players’ time is used in a more targeted way and distractions are minimized.”
Teamworks is the leading athlete engagement platform, empowering more than 3,000 clients around the world to better connect and collaborate by simplifying their internal processes.
