Icon Source, a leading digital marketplace connecting athletes with brands for endorsement deals, is teaming up with INFLCR, the leading software for student-athlete brand-building. The innovative partnership will empower student-athlete name, image and likeness opportunities, giving collegiate athletes easy access to a proven deals platform where they can start earning compensation from local and national brands.
The integration with the INFLCR mobile app will create an efficient, turnkey process in which NCAA student-athletes can compliantly learn about and actively participate in Icon Source’s vast network of brand opportunities. All deal activity will be automatically reported to INFLCR Verified’s Compliance Ledger. Signup is free, profile creation takes only minutes, and the Icon Source commission is the lowest of any platform available.
“Our mission at Icon Source has long been to empower athletes, and soon that will include college athletes as well,” Chase Garrett, Icon Source Founder and CEO, said. “We are thrilled to partner with companies as well respected in the collegiate space as INFLCR and Teamworks as we begin to enter the name, image and likeness era and cannot wait to serve student-athletes alongside them. Our platform is already proven and trusted by the biggest names in professional sports. As we now focus on facilitating national to hyper-local endorsement deals of all types for student-athletes, this integration is key to providing actual, tangible opportunities to these incredibly marketable athletes playing within the NCAA.”
Former student-athletes like University of Georgia and NFL quarterback Aaron Murray have sealed several deals using Icon Source. The Icon Source marketplace provides athletes with a vast range of potential partners, allowing Murray to sign five deals within a month of signing up. Murray has previously said of Icon Source: “It’s super easy. I think that’s the thing that’s good for everyone, especially college athletes.”
In the INFLCR Verified Compliance Exchange, student-athletes will be directed to education about Icon Source, where they can also sign up to participate outside the INFLCR app. All activity is automatically reported back to the Compliance Ledger.
Icon Source will provide education on best practices that will live in INFLCR’s Storyteller Playbook, which student-access can access on-demand via desktop or via the INFLCR app using their mobile device.
All athlete transactions generated with Icon Source will be reported to the INFLCR Verified Ledger, to cover all required reporting for collegiate athletes. This activity will be updated in real time to ensure athletes do not jeopardize eligibility through their NIL opportunities.
“We want to equip our 150,000+ athlete user base with the most innovative, efficient technologies to connect with, and monetize from, businesses wanting to utilize athletes in their marketing plan,” INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said.
“In partnering with Icon Source, athletes can compliantly receive endorsements, apply for campaigns and earn compensation while also receiving the tools and education necessary to remain compliant with state and federal laws and any NCAA regulations.”
