Why did the Broncos start using Teamworks?
The Broncos needed a way for our staff and players to communicate in a more efficient and effective way. We scoured the market and Teamworks provided the standout solution.
What was your experience working with our team on the implementation?
We knew we’d only have one crack at getting buy-in from our players, so we assembled a small group of staff and went all in with our “Teamworks guru”, Catie Conrad. Catie was exceptional. No request was ever too difficult, no question too stupid. Catie made the learning and implementation phase a pain free experience.
What have been the noticeable improvements since launching Teamworks Hub?
There’s no doubt our football program is better organised, and the single source of truth has made staff and players more accountable. We have also made the Teamworks training schedule available to the entire organisation, which has enhanced collaboration between business units and generated efficiencies we didn’t think existed.
For our players, we are in our first year, so we’ve kept our use of Teamworks very basic. Our two primary areas of focus have been group messaging and scheduling. Both have been very well received.
How has Smartabase helped you make better decisions and improve athlete performance?
We currently feed most of our data into Smartabase, which was not the case 12 months ago. This consolidation allows multiple users to access the data and use it in ways that suit them. We’ve been able to build several department dashboards to report on the data, allowing quick and easy interpretation.
Pre-season training is key to a successful season. How important is it to have Teamworks and Smartabase during these vital times?
The quality of the preseason will almost always determine the quality of your competitive season. It’s paramount that all the moving parts are organised and the players are being appropriately loaded. Teamworks keeps us on time and connected, while Smartabase keeps the training program informed.
