Alabama Adapted Athletics Implements Teamworks to Instill Efficient Communication for Return to Campus
Alabama’s program leads the charge as Teamworks’ first partner in collegiate adapted athletics.
DURHAM, NC – [Thursday, June 18, 2020] – Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, is pleased to announce a partnership with the University of Alabama’s Adapted Athletics department. As one of the winningest programs in collegiate adapted athletics, Alabama Adapted will use Teamworks to streamline student-athlete, staff and booster communication and centralize program operations into one platform.

Serving about 30 student-athletes each year, Alabama Adapted sponsors competitive collegiate sports in men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis. As the department continues to grow, emerging sports include adapted rowing and wheelchair track.

With a roster of more than 2,000 collegiate teams, Alabama Adapted in Teamworks’ first collegiate partner in adapted athletics and joins a growing list of parasport clients, including several US national governing bodies.
